Sebastian Elliott
Director · RIBA & ARB registered architect
I founded the practice to create deeply adored places through attention to both the macro and micro scales of high-performance, low-carbon architecture.
Before establishing Macro Micro Architects in 2023, I worked at several international practices on award-winning projects, including the mass-timber specialists Michael Green Architects, the critically acclaimed Patkau Architects, and 5plus Architects in London. I studied at the University of Brighton at both undergraduate and master’s level, graduating with Distinction and receiving the RIBA South East Prize and the RIBA Sussex Prize for my student work. I qualified as an architect at the University of Westminster in 2016.
Ernest Klinicki
Part 1 Architectural Assistant
I am particularly interested in the social impact of architecture and how design decisions shape how spaces are used and experienced, with an awareness of how these ideas translate into built form and the gap that can exist between intention and reality.
I joined the practice in October 2025, contributing to concept design, technical drawings, visualisation, and research across residential projects, including late-stage work on Ravenscourt Road and the design and delivery of St Leonard’s Road.
Ben Lindsey
Part 1 Architectural Assistant
I joined Macro Micro Architects in 2026, having graduated with a First Class BA from the University of Brighton. My studies sparked a keen interest in the interplay between technical building systems and analytical design thinking.
Before joining the practice, I completed a mentorship at Arcadis in Brighton. My work was shortlisted for the John Andrews Drawing Prize and the Brighton Architecture Diary Community Impact Award, alongside a feature in the Architects’ Journal 2025 Student Prize.
