Rennovation, ground floor rear extension and second floor rear extension of a semi-detached property in East Sheen.

The project centred on making the most of the available floor space while preserving the defining feature of the rear ground-floor extension: the large lantern skylight. Sightlines were used to enhance the sense of openness, aligning the front door with the glazed garden doors to draw the eye through the full depth of the house. The kitchen and utility functions were consolidated along this central axis as a “tool line”, freeing up the wider reception spaces to remain open and adaptable.
